Do you guys think we need some sub-forums in News for non-Manufacturer related news:

1. Personal advertising (ebay, etc)
2. Local stores

Or a new top-level forum?

Just throwing some ideas around. Happy to hear your thoughts.

Maybe a Trading forum would be handy which could have store notices etc as a sub section?

Personally I dont think a Trading section is the way to go.... I mean I look at Buy Swap Sell forum on WargamerAU from time to time... and it is just too huge, and complicated with rules on whats acceptable. I for one dont this forum to go down that path, that is just more patrolling for Mods to do. And I am not the sort of guy to get incolved betwen people's pay or swap disputes.

I say keep it simple. just maybe a topic or something. A sticky, perhaps with each person getting one thread post, that they are able to put up what they want to sell, swap, or buy. Then the first post could be a list of which user is on what page of the topic. They just simply edit their post when the situation changes. ie: selling more stuff etc. And then just send the user a PM if interested?

anyways just an idea that came to me... but you guys do what you want.

A sub-forum-thing(like painting in the painting and modelling section) would be good in general discussion... whell, that's what I think, anyway.

Dances are an important ingredient in painting for GD.

I'll accept that.

Yep, I was just thinking that yesterday when I posted about that mini on eBay. Sorta felt wrong sticking it in with the manufacturers news section.

How about simply calling it 'Classifieds' or something. A single area for trades and selling of stuff in your stockpile would be a valuable addition. This would also mean that people that aren't interested can avoid that kind of stuff more easily and still get news on new releases...

Obviously all trades and sales are buyer beware, I don't think anyone could seriously expect mods to negotiate or enforce deals.

Ok I've made a classifieds forum. Let's give this a trial run. If this gets out of control, I'll remove it.

Gah, sorry, screwed up some permissions. I was trying to make the forum hidden from web spiders and anonymous users.

Give it a try now?
