Hi all,

When I hop on the forum I usually do a search for unread posts. I have a problem, both at home and at work, where I read one post and then go 'back' to my search and the site tells me "You cannot make another search so soon after your first". I then need to go back to the index and search again - is there a way around this or am I simply missing a simple process.

I'm not sure if I can fix this but I'll have a look around in the admin settings.

Yep, the little blue one near where its says 'view your posts' & "view unanswered posts". It's not a major drama so don't spend much time on it. It sometimes marks all posts as read too - that's usually on the 2nd or third search though.

You can - it's a flood setting. The idea is to stop people from being able to spam the boards by enforcing a time limit between posts / PMs / etc.

Typically it gets set to around 10 seconds I think.

Ok it's set to 5 sec. Don't abuse it!
