Hey all,

Mark and I will run a workshop on November 19th Sat, 20th Sun, where participants will be painting up the new nurgle chaos lord on foot
Image

If you would like to participate, reply here. You will need to purchase for yourself a copy of this mini, assemble it, and if you chose to undercoat it, please undercoat it white (anything light, not black). Feel free to build a base for it, convert the mini, etc.

BYO paints and brushes. If you are travelling long distance, just brushes are fine.

It will be run at Kelvin's place in the suburb of Bexley (I will PM people the address detail).

The times will be roughly, on Sat, 9am to 5pm; Sun 9am to 4pm.

Daylight lamp count:
Me 2, Kelvin 2, Shgray 2
Most of you sydney siders will have one, but if its difficult for you to carry one there, as you can see, there are spares already.

people count:
Me, Mark, numbat, gohkm, loup_garouis, spiffymagee, zed, borzag, pb97613, delmieth (Sunday), snowmaninhell (Sunday), turelio (drop in visit),

Please have a look at this link to help you decide on what colours you want to paint your mini and base.

any other details I've missed, let me know and I'll update it here.

I think it should run over 2 days to give some people time to work on it. Venue I have no Idea about.... depends on what we need to get this happening space and amenities wise.

I believe that this is just a painting workshop not basing. You would need to bring your own paints and brushes, wetpallets/pallets/tiles :? I hope not tiles..... and any other painting parafanalia like a lamp or even pigments. Though access to power may be a deciding issue to where we host this.

If you build a base bring it along you can work on painting both the mini and the base and learn some colour harmony between the two. Also dont stick the mini to the base before painting... it'll be too hard to paint, Just a thought I had as some people like this and, well, I want to show how much easier it is to paint both the base and mini when separate.

For dates, I'd prefer the wkend of the 26th to not be it, I have a school reunion that weekend (sat night). If it is that the weekend (26th) is the best for most thats fine hold it then Ill just drive/train back to Sydney for the next days activities.

I am happy to host it at my place - but it really depends on the number of people (probably about 6 max if everyone wants to sit down on a chair...). You can sleep on the floor if you want to go 2 days.

Hi guys,

This is one of those figs that I've got an eye on as well. I'm in. Happy to host at my place, which can take about a dozen people spread out over the place. I'll fire up the barbie, too.

I'm happy to pull together a group order for the fig from the GW UK website, if you can give me the total number by Fri. If you want something else other than the dedicated fig, please PM me and we'll work it out.

I'm in! I don't think any point in November is out of the question for me yet.

I'll accept that.

Thanks for the offer Andrew, but I think Kelvin's place would be a bit more spacious.

Also, Kelvin, you said first half of Nov is no good is that right? And will 2 days again be ok with you and Dewi?

Jason, what weekend in later Nov is out for you?

November is all good for me :D Gives me some time to save and plan. I'm in for it including the guest thing with Kevin I was messaged about, just have to borrow my Mum's sleeping bag. I'm more for the the two day thing cause I'm sure to be asking a million questions. I've no idea about the venues around there so I'll leave that with the locals.

Good choice of miniature I was thinking of getting this one at some stage. I love painting horrible decaying flesh I've already got something in mind, I'll leave the base for now simply so I can see what others are doing... and borrow some ideas and tricks.

The suitcase is going to be interesting looking paint, paints, lamp, brushes etc. taking up all the suitcase, small parcel of clothes and only the shoes on my feet.
