Models that are cool from around the world. the 2012 edition. This topic is a place to post all the cool miniatures that you have come across in your Internet searching for cool miniatures. The idea of this topic is to not only keep you up to date with the latest miniatures that people have painted, but to also provide inspiration to help miniature painters along their painting journey. The miniatures are chosen by 'Oz Painters' forum members based on their own personal taste of what is cool in the world of miniatures and scale models. The 2012 edition is the second forum topic, based on the original topic, which can be seen here:
Models that are cool from around the world. (2007-2011)Here are few rules in order to maintain the topic easier:
- The topic is open to any forum member to post in.
- When posting a picture (or pictures). Please add the artist who the miniature is painted by, and the name of the miniature or title of the piece. If you are unable to post the title and artist, then either the artist or title is fine, or post where the picture was found or event the picture was taken at.
- It is recommended that you post a link to where you found the original picture. For example, the blog, website, CMON, etc. This does not mean posting the direct link to picture, but rather the webpage where you found the image. This allows people to find out more about the miniature on a different webpage or vote on it on CMON.
- Please do not post the same pictures that already appear in this topic. If it is better pictures, or more angles of a miniature that appears here, then that is allowed.
- No Quoting of pictures. If you want to discuss a miniature, simply quote the miniature title and artist name, or write a short description of the mini you wish to discuss.
- Please refrain from posting miniatures that appear in other parts of the Forum, such as the Painting, Sculpting and Conversions or Work in Progress sub-forums, that way there is no doubling up on pictures or discussion of the same miniatures.
- Official pictures of new miniature releases belong in the News sub-forum. Although, it is allowed to post up greens and paintjobs of new miniatures if they are not official company photos.
- Try to keep to a small amount of miniatures in one post. It is easier to just make a new post with additional miniatures rather then clutter one single post with many images.
- Because of the nature of Fantasy and Sci-Fi miniatures. This Topic is NSFW. If you want to share a miniature that you think is too NSFW to post, check with a mod, or just post a link to the miniature and not the picture.

There aren't two darksword ladies. Only one, the lady without the owl is from Thunderbolt Mountain. Tom Meier's own company. She is a Wood Elf Noble Lady in Travelling Clothes, I've had my eye on that miniature for ages.
