Yeah the only problem I have with stuff out on the table is with it getting nicked or touched, especially stuff like the Demon winners.
IKEA sell a great display cabinet for around $170.00 but I canot justify it at the moment.

Me either. I will redo my study at some stage soon and will grab one then.
I can still bring my two small cabinets, each will hold about 40-50 models at a stretch. They're about 2' high.

I'd still be happy to put some money in, I think it will work better in the longer term. One concern i did have was that it might not be possible to maintain observation on the table, and like it or not, gamers integrity reflects that of the community as a whole. There is bound to be at least a couple of people there with light fingers.

And it'd be even more tempting 'cos the models are so well painted
I'd not be too stressed if I lost one of my collection as long as it wasn't a rare model or one of the Demon Winners.
I wonder if they could be insured - just thinking aloud...

the only problem:

there is no way i'll be able to get it there by bus or train .... so if anyone want's to come by and pick it up they are welcome

paperclips do the job really well blu tac on the base + a paperclip with string trough it and a small bell at the end, if the mini is lifted you'll know instantly...

Thanks for the offer LoC but not exactly what we're after, nice of you though :)
I spoke with my mate tonight and he's happy to bring along his display cabinet, but it's only a small one so It'd be good for you to bring your's too Peter. With 3 small ones we should have enugh I think.

Cool.
If we find we haven't enough space we can always 'cycle' the minis during the day.
The massed demons display could be an issue if the cabinets are small - mine fill the lower shelf of one of my cabinets. Maybe we'll just pop little demon pictures on the title tags.

Speaking of the tags: I'll print up a bunch of blank ones and we can fill them out on the day - it's probably easier than printing the details on.

Nice one Peter :D
Mark is now a definite, but he's probably going to be building/converting stuff rather than painting.

Yes we will be painting, sculpting, converting, meeting new people and hopefully having a bit of fun along the way.

Howdy all,

A couple of questions:

1: What time are we getting there for set up?
2: Do we want name tags? If so post your name and I'll make some sticky labels up.

I should have the little mini tags done, a bunch of promo flyers, the questionnaire for next year and a couple of banners 1m long each.

Cheers
