You know how sometimes you look forward to seeing something new but at the same time you know it isn't going to be good for you?

It went really well. A good turnout and a grand day.
The venue was a little dark so the display of minis was hampered by some really poor lighting but the day was still worth it.
I have some pics which I will post later today.
The mini draw was won by Tony.
We had a brief discussion with Nic from Eureka regarding next year's event and we hope to have an even bigger painting event then.

Yeah I've got some pics to download too when I get some time.
It was a very long day. Up at 6.30, go pick up Mark and the display cabinet, get to the event by 8.30, start set up (Peter was already there so goodness knows what time he was up and about!!) have everything ready for the start at 10.00am Then the organisers pinched one of our tables so I had to go scouting around to find another one.
All up was a good day, everyone turned up that said they were coming, really nice to meet people I've talked to online, always nice to put a face to a name.
The event went well if a little cramped for space at times, but that's an issue that is already being sorted for next year. Lighting was terrible, so we'll have to sort that one out too. Next years event is already in the planning stages and yes, OzPainters will be there again.

I'm glad to hear it went so well and I'm looking forward to those pictures. Will you be posting them in the Photos & Results section? I'm sure the wider forum population will appreciate seeing them too.
