Painting Competition
Due date for submission: Friday the 4th of July. Presentation of awards will occur on Saturday the 5th of July at 1pm, Mind Games Geelong (Ryrie st.)
Entry fee: $5 per model entered. You may only have one entry per size category in your age group.
Categories are determined by age group of the competitor and base size of the model entered. Models entered can be from any tabletop games system, and genres are combined (e.g.: sci-fi and fantasy). Competitors aged 17 and under are welcome to enter the Seniors categories if they feel up to the challenge…
Junior categories- 17 years and under:
Single model on base smaller than 40mm: This category includes standard infantry sized models mounted on bases smaller than 40mm in diameter. Examples include: 40k Chaplain, Fantasy Empire wizard, Warmachine Satyxis raider, Reaper mercenary thug.
Large model on base 40mm and over: This category includes large infantry models, monsters, cavalry, bikes, chariots, vehicles, weapons teams and artillery. Examples include: 40k terminator, Fantasy trebuchet, Warmachine warjacks, Reaper dragon.
Senior categories- 18 years and older:

Judging:
Judging will be on the presentation and paint job of the model itself. Conversions, scenic bases etc. are allowed, but won’t influence the judging process. Any queries PM the judge: Big Red
Basing your models:
Models must be presented on the base they are provided with. In the case of models without bases (such as the Reaper range, some chariots/vehicles, artillery and weapon teams) a base of appropriate size may be used.
Scenic bases (in the case of artillery) can have crew model bases that slot into the scenic base for ease of judging.
Awards: Trophies and gift vouchers will be presented to the winners of each of the four categories, with certificates presented to second and third place-getters.
