Hey Everyone,

I've paired up with CGS, the organization who runs WinterCon and CanCon, to start offering 2 hour seminars at WinterCon in July. These seminars are based off of the classes I taught at Adepticon this year. If anyone is interested in working on specific areas of painting or maybe can't afford the 2 day classes, this is worth checking out.

I am trying to work with CGS to strengthen the hobby scene at conventions in Oz. We are hoping these seminars are received well so we can look at expanding offerings in the future.

2 Brush Blending $25/person
Saturday July 12 10:00am-12:00pm

Instructor: Meg Maples
Learn Two Brush Blending from award winning American Painter, Meg Maples. This is a quick and efficient technique that can be used on everything from tabletop quality models to competition quality models. Speed up your painting without sacrificing those perfect blends! All skill levels are welcome, including beginners. Students should bring a model, paints and brushes to class. Recommended brushes include: Raphael Kaerell Round Synthetics sizes 2 and 3 or equivalent.

Hair and Fur $25/person
Saturday July 12 2:00pm-4:00pm

Instructor: Meg Maples
Learn how to create a soft look to hair and fur textures on models with award winning American painter, Meg Maples. This class will cover different painting techniques for painting hair and fur at the display level. All levels of painters are welcome, however, an intermediate skill level is recommended. Please bring your brushes, paints and a model with hair and fur textures on it. Recommended brushes include: Winsor & Newton Series 7 Size 2 or equivalent high quality sable. A sketchbook is recommended for note taking.

True Metallics $25/person

Instructor Meg Maples
Award winning American painter Meg Maples will teach the art of expressive faces on 28mm to 54mm models in this class including her 6 steps for painting eyes. This class will be discussion heavy with some practical hands-on time for learning how to paint eyes. Students should bring good quality sable brushes such as Winsor & Newton series 7 size 2, a mini with a well sculpted face, and paints. A sketchbook is recommended for note taking.
