Oz Painters

Hi all
Im looking for advice for my Ogre i have painted the helmet useing glazes i really like the rust effect.
I then started on the arm braces painting them in a base colour red to break up the colours a little looking at it now it looks a bit off my question is should i paint the braces the same tech as i did with the helmet.
All coments welcome

hmm ns on this rust works by itself, oxidized copper works by itself but combining the two, just can't quite see it, as for the bracers it looks like you didn't thin your colours right or overloaded your brush when you were blending
