That's right - and the P is for Palmer Prism, an old brand of paint that Rob put me onto a few years ago. They're not that easy to find (if at all) these days, but they are similar in texture and consistency as normal GW.

The reason I used them was more due to the fact the pot was in front of me at the time, than any conscious decision based on the paint properties! Just goes to show there's no single definitive paint range, as I just used whatever was handy at the time!

Anyway...

Black (P) can be substituted with Chaos Black (C).
Burnt Umber (P) can be substituted with German Black Brown (V) mixed with a small amount of Beastial Brown (C).

I actually prefer this colour scheme to the new Orks - this is the old colour scheme they used to use back in the '90s. The new tone (dark angels/scorpion) is just too bright imo. You've done well numbat :)

Yes, it's quite close to the colour scheme from the 90's - when the Goblin Green use to come in the round pots, it use to be much warmer (at this time, there was no scorpion green in the range). They slowly decreased the yellow from the colour as they went to the hex, then the new hex pots to produce a much more sterile, colder green colour.

So I'm glad they introduced Gretchin Green in the CF range as a bit of a throw-back to the original Goblin Green colour (back when bases were painted Goblin Green with a bit of sand stuck on top!).

Thanks for the comments - good luck trying out your own ork skin with the colours!

Necron Lord - I started back in June, and worked fairly solidly through the month for about 1-2hrs each night on average up till August, then again in September. A lot of time was just spent looking at them and thinking what to do next, rather than paint on brush to figure. As a rough guess I'd say maybe 60-100hrs? Really not sure as I didn't keep track of time!
