Alright then! As promised, here they are: kyle's beastman, steve's beastman, and mine. Sorry for all the delays, argh - you'll see why it took me so long tonight, when I post another new mini I just finished painting. But at least we three eventually got around to finishing ours at last, eh?
So, I'll apologise in advance because this post will be a vertical mile long. First kyle's: HE went for a sort of khorne beastman, lots of blood, red colouring of the flesh etc., and a warm coloured, dark base. The little flowers on the base look really cool - painted crimson to link with the red on the mini - and we were also saying that the blood on the grass looks great on the base too, although it doens't show up so well in the photos. Sorry I couldn't get better photos kyle - it's hard for my poor camera to get good focus when the mini is so 3D. The flesh colour is pretty good, but some areas could have used some more work - I reckon some more colour nuances in the skin would have been nice. ANd the horse part of the beastman needs some more work too!

I love that skeleton dude with the signpost haha.
Ok, now steve's! his is a nurgle-ish sort of beastman, really dirty...steve loves dirt and weathering

Really great flesh tones, crazy colours, interesting. Having the eyes dark like that makes the face cool, sinister-looking. That tentacle arm with the flail is so awesome haha, who doesn't love a good tentacle? I must have a flail on one of my minis soon! The blood, haha steve got carried away late at night with a new blood technique...I know the feeling

It looks great on the axe, but there is a bit too much blood splattered over everything I think - it needs to be toned down a bit I reckon! But that's ok. We were also saying that steve needs to work a bit on his sculpting, to obtain sharper edges and more definition/detail, on the armour plates especially.
Now mine: I was going for a cold, winter atmosphere, to try some different colours to my usual. In the extreme highlights, especially on the flesh, I tried to move to a pale blue colour, to try to make a sort of cold, slightly strange look in the lighting. Most of the time was spent on the flesh - the rest is a bit of a rush job, so there are lots of problems...on the fur especially, haha the sculpt was kind of dodgy in some areas...but that's no excuse: only the bad workman blames his tools, as they say./ I tried to achieve some more contrast in the metals, too - that is something I need to improve in my painting.
So, I hope you guys enjoy seeing them finally, anyway! Hopefully this will inspire one or two of you to finish yours, so we can have a few more to look at
