Saw this on Aliaume's blog, really cool idea, cutting up a cork mat to make samll bricks. And I guess much cheaper then buying actual miniature model bricks also!

Great find, much better then moulding them by hand. I use a wooden ladder mould press putty in, let cure then pop em out.

I use Hirst Arts moulds...

However, then I am still pressed to rough up the edges suitably as most are part of pre-formed walls.

Nice find.

Spotlight sell a thin cork mat that varies in thickness. Might be suitable for this. I'll have to check. Great article, thanks for posting.
