From what Andrew (numbat) was saying, they were done up by Pete (Angora?)

They look really fantastic - excellent print quality and really vibrant colours

Yes it was Peter that did those, great aren't they?
He also did up some banners, questionnaires, name tags, miniature name cards for the mini's on display, etc, for Little Wars down here last weekend.
Talented man is Peter. :D

Wow, really nice pics there shgray. All of the entries look fantastic, it was definately a tough competition.
Also, congratulations to Panzer and Paintingploddy, your entries look fantastic. There is a fantastic interaction between the mini and the base in both of them, and the paint jobs are great.

Now there are some great miniatures in this lot. I can certainly see why the judges chose the top three, not only they painted extremely well but they all are telling a story or have created a great atmosphere.

The rest are really well painted and there is a real variety of styles. Peridita was mine and she took about 6 hours to paint and build. The only thing I really should have done differently was to paint her face before putting the hat on. It was very hard to see what I was doing let alone trying to get the paint in the right place.

Once again I would like to thank Trevor, Sebastian and everybody who entered or turned out for this event.

Was Mortimer's spade bent? It looks a bit like the paint has flaked off in the photo.
Great work by all though!
I think the Stalker might be by Lord Of Change (but I could be wrong).

Cheers

it was equally as hard to photograph her face  I have *so* many blurred shots of her hehe

From what Trevor was saying, Mortimer suffered a little bit of postal damage on the way up, so some paint had chipped off a bit..

Top one of the second batch is Lord of Change. Paintingploddy's entry was damaged in the post, but the judges were instructed to ignore this, I didn't want to penalise the postal entries.

Many thanks to Sean for doing the pics, I'm snowed at work at the moment.

Automaton: those painted pics on the (Heroquest) box were awesome! I looked at them as virtually an unattainable goal in painting, haha...

Wow!!!

All the entries look so cool. Congratulations to everyone who entered. Also, a huge HOOZAH! to Trevor, Sebastian (and anyone else who I've neglected to mention) for running the comp... Can't wait for the next one

Congratulations to all the winners and entrants, thanks for making this a fantastic competition! And special thanks to those who took the time to post in their entries.

Looks like Sean is our official event photographer! Awesome photos.

Hopefully we can do something like this again!
