Thanks for the insight on the event. :D

Interesting about the Scibor base thing... I know that if it was the UK, it probably would have been DQ'd. I remember seeing an awesome Terminator squad not winning anything because it had a Rackham statue piece on its base.

I was very surprised it wasn't. I bet I would have been DQ'ed, in fact next year I will pull the same trick and see if I am!

Anyway, some of it was weak, and it would have been nice if a foreign painting master, like KyleM, would have shown up. But none did. ;)

hhahaa hardly a master... :P I will say that I have been a consistent painter. But I definatly have not painted anything great.

There has been some amazing US painters in the past.. but doesnt seem like they enter (or paint) anymore... Bryan Shaw, Lilliana Troy, Jen Haley, Tim Lison (pre GW), Scott Bowser, Ben Bishop.. etc. But it seems like a whole lot of the old painters dont enter anymore.. which is weird, because here in Oz, the older guys are still mixing it up with the newer painters. Seems to be the same in the UK, with people like Matt Parkes, Chris Blair and Jakob Nielsen etc. entering for longer then a decade now...

I think some have retired, but several paint other companies minis, like Privateer Press, or Wyrd. Some just have grown tired of GW, which is understandable, I guess. I want to keep going for the Demons though. That is what got me into the hobby in the first place!
