Games Day North America was held in Chicago over the weekend. I cant find much info on it. But Todd Swanson won his 5 Slayer! Also meaning he has leaped ahead of the likes of Glen Lamprecht for the most Slayer Swords, won by one person.

This is the only pic I can find of his winning entry.

Looks like he has done an excellent conversion and sculpt job on Lelith. Can't wait for good pics.

there looks like a lot of ok vehicles and lots of titans!

Personally I think that savage orc is a bit bland, no work other then cleaning up joins and I really hate the base. But its a silver... so it beats my bronzium one.

The orc has some neat freehand, but it's not very complex. It looks like its just got a single highlight in places like the belt on its back. I hope other photos come out soon showing it a bit better. At the moment it isn't really flattering.

That's several kinds of awesome. Fantastic conversion and paint job.

I was going to say I wasnt that impressed with the model, and thought some parts could have been done better, but then I looked at the Lelith model sitting on my desk, and realised how tiny it actually is! So Todd has done an amazing job to get that much detail on such a small miniature!

And where the hell are the pictures of the other entries, or at least a list of winners? I am still keen to see the rest of the miniatures from the comp!

yeah there is a lot of work on that lilith. what makes the conversion so good is that it looks like not much has gone on.

I think the skin, while nice and smooth could do with some more colour variation and the face could have dome with some coloured eye shadow for interest. But then thats just how I would have tackled it.

Its based of the Comic book character Jungle Girl. edit: well I think the similarity is strikingly similar.....

now that better pics of the lelith is up, I think the sculpt on the right thigh is way off proportion - the quads and thigh need to be thicker, and her right ankle looks awkward in that bent position, and also her missing inner elbows on both arms don't look good. All the other sculpting bits are nice and well painted.

See how there is a screen behind the stage showing what model is being won and by who? We need that at our GD. Many of us had no idea what was going on when the awards started flying last year.

The base on todd's elf is magic, inlove it.

Hi guys,

The Savage ork was nothing special. In my personal opinion, it was a gaming quality model.

Todd's model, on the other hand, was amazing. Conversion aside one would not believe how many "Easter egs" does this model have. I really hate this guy (-:

To my shame I didn't take any pictures this tome around, so I have very little to offer you... I can tell you though, that the SW was painted by Damon. You can find his gallery here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/artist/NOM ... id=2435839 He had an amazing entry for duel - Imperial Fist terminator vs. Tyranid. I really hope GW will post the results soon.
