@Turelio Thanks! I had a great time! I love Sydney!! This year's competition is really tough across the board... I will try to come out with nice bases next year if I have the chance to go Sydney GD again. I have very weak Singles and hope to achieve a higher level for them to stand a chance in top 5. All the top painters each have their own unique style, haha I have yet to discover mine... Gonna work harder!! =)

@Angora Thanks!! Love your work that you have done with the DE VS E duel!! I will have to work even harder to reach your level. The poses are dynamic and love how you used the pillar to create the natural height for the DE's jump!

Welcome Rico!

It was great to see some new painters at GD, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next year!

Here is my WH40K Monster Gold entry.

I did a Blood Angels Librarian that got passed over for single, but learned some valuable lessons from it.

Cheers.

Hey epic fail, really liked this model, brilliant use of the savage orc, looked great on the day and deserved the gold...

So why is it that it only takes GW a day to put up photo's of the UK GD and Slayer Sword winner, etc, yet we are still waiting for our photo's after 2 weeks??????????????

A very belated well done to all of the winners! I moved on Games Day, and only got my internet connected last night. Can't wait to catch up on all the pics!

Hmm, maybe a little late in this thread for intros but...Hi, I'm Matthew and I attended Sydney Games Day this year for the first time. Brilliant. 'twas my second taste of GD, last year having sent an IF Predator through with the WA contingent but not attending myself. Gotta say that seeing all the talent on offer in person this year was tremendous (besides, couldn't enter GD otherwise :) ). Entered an Imperial Fist Dev squad which looked funky but went nowhere, but grabbed a silver for an Imperial Fists Attack Bike which really topped off a fun day. What struck me was the equal measure of inspiration (ideas to use) and dejection (skills I don't have) I derived from the brilliant pieces on offer. That, and the female commissar :!:. Kudos to all who had a go.

Hi Matthew!

Post up some pics of your bike. I'd love to have a good look at it - it was very tough on the day to get a proper squiz at most models.
Congrats on the silver :D

Forgive the amateurishness of the snaps (and the painter...)

Love how the devastators turned out, although I didn't finish them in time. Would have applied more highlighting, esp. pauldrons, and a bit of grime or something to add more depth.

Cheers.

About time they put SOMETHING up, even if it's only the sword winner, but still don't know why they can't put the whole lot up, it doesn't take this long to process some images and get a report typed up. I sent GW a nasty email the other day demanding to know what was going on, no reply though, typical!!

Word on the street is that they're saving it for a fancy White Dwarf spread.

I'll accept that.
