I mentioned this last Saturday but noticed Nic had posted on TMP. I've asked whether they would be interested in a table from Ozpainters and he mentioned it shouldn't be a problem provided they had tables. Is there anyone interested in getting an Ozpainters presence there and perhaps organising a demonstration of what work we've done? Is it worth setting up a demo table and getting some painting happening?

Sounds good to me. What sort of event is it?
A nice display of minis would be fantastic!

Yes, yes, yes, definitely.
It'd be great to get an Ozpainters table happening.
Peter.....any chance of getting a large sign made, not too big, just something that shows or prescence?

No problem. I can do one the same as we had at the first painting day (1m x 320mm). Bigger ones can be done but the cost a few bob as I have to get them done by an external supplier.
I can do more promo flyers and all that sort of gear.

Have to see if we can get a lightweight display cabinet this time. I'll see what I can find so we can get some of the bigger pieces in. I don't think I'll get in in time to see Nick this Saturday though.

I might see if I can get over there to see him Friday afternoon or Saturday, not sure at this stage though.

Can you talk to him Peter about the table, etc, and what we would be required to do or provide. Cheers mate :D

Good luck with the house. ikea have a couple of decent size cabintes for under $200.00. I'll have a look at those and hopefully they'll do to give us a fairly good display.

I may/may not be having a table there to sell some excess figures I have (I really must get around to finding-out about that... ). If not, I'd certainly pop-in for some painting if there's an Ozpainters' Table! Regardless, I'd be happy to paint a figure for display if needed (is that what's being suggested - a collection of OzPainters-Painted figures in a display cabinet?). :D

I think it would be great to have 3 or 4 of us dressed in our OzPainters shirts with a nice display of painted gear for people to ogle.

I would suggest a display of painted figures teamed with at least two painting stations. If there are a few of us there in uniform (so to speak) with the flyers we can establish a presence, and maybe kick it up to a painting comp next year depending on how we go this year. I would be willing to splash out on the cabinet (one of them was lockable) provided it is portable. Give people something to look at, well painted unusual/old/rare figures.

I spoke with Nick yesterday and he just needs to know what our requirements are. The tables are 6' x 4' so I guess we'd get up to 6 painters to a table.
Power will also be needed - I reckon at least 2 power points. I can provide extension leads and powerboards.
I don't have a shirt  must try and organise one for the day.
I would suggest that we have the cabinets with small name tags near the models to show who painted what - that way people could ask about specific models if they wish.

It may pay for us to get together as a group to try and thrash out some of the details so we all know where we stand and who needs to do what. Maybe we can meet at a mutually agreeable location over coffee sometime in the coming weeks.
