Just realised that that I'd failed to share this bad news with you all :(

Seems that with the changes at Rackham and the launching of their "Legends" brand for their old metal figs and new limited edition stuff, they wouldn't re-new or confirm the licence for Fire Industries or something like that.

Not sure what the state of play with the large scale sculpts is
Does seem to be a bit of an unpleasant play by Rackham though . . . .

Rackham are really slashing and burning there stuff quite a bit. They must be in more trouble than I thought...

Sucks for every one who wanted the large ninja gobbo... like me... alas... i'd never get around to painting it anyway

This was posted by Seth Nash on the UK-cord site
So maybe I was being a bit harsh on Rackham . . . . maybe . . . .

Hi Guys,

this is a copy from the At-43 forums:

Quote:
Without going into detail the licence agreement that was on the table, and the conception of the Legends line, made it difficult to justify long term investment.

It was decided that the team behind Fire Industries would be better utilised in development of our own IP and products.

We have no ill feeling towards Rackham and wish them continued success

that's pretty much all there is to it, Fire Industries was started with a verbal agreement, the folks with the money nescesarry to make F.I. work didn't want to put it in until we had a satisfactory license that both sides were happy with, and couldn't see a decent return once legends had been announced ( nail in the coffin really)

At the moment I am feeling poorly so i'm out of the office( headcold......thanks to the wife :( ) but the other folks involved with fire Industries are re-grouping and deciding in which direction to go in, 54mm range seems definate, and a 28mm range is on the table, we will see.

This was our descision and not Rackham's. Apologies to anyone that feels we let them down.

cheers
seth
