i think if they initially release them as limited run and then change their mind this will make some people (VERY) angry much like the auscon mini which was originally limited to what? 500? then got cast further and sold via coolmini and now seb is selling it via GoH albeit in metal (not your fault seb but rather whoever commissioned you for it :-D) i imagine if they do this here, people will be rather miffed..

Well I won't be rushing out to get anything soon as I've got enough stuff to last me a lifetime. If something comes up that I take a fancy to then I may think about it, but I'm not going to be swayed by whether it's limited edition or not.

That's it, be strong!

I agree though, I have more minis than I'll ever paint, but I know that there are a couple of things I'll still buy (mostly unreleased stuff).

Really? Almost all my minis are ordered online these days. Even great stores like Mind Games and RoL tend to not have what I want ...although I do try to support them when they do.

If you want me to get anything particular for you then let me know as it's likely that I'll be grabbing a couple of the unreleased minis, etc.

This is the case for me as I live remote...

So what do you make of this then?

It will get better over time. Dont forget this is only the original plan, there are lots of other bits in the pipeline.

That's an interesting quote actually, it could be (mis)interpreted to mean that they intend eventually to release new minis sculpted for the Confrontation universe? If so, I hope they've either got some of the R sculpters (and concept artists) on board or at least someone who can replicate the style... (and I don't mean the PPP sculpters)

...or perhaps I'm being a little too hopeful/delusional?

Your not too far away from the truth. Also there will be C3 cards supplied with the minis, so if you want to play them in your games, well you will be able to. :)

I can also confirm some ball park prices too.

I have been told the price of them both. I am not allowed to say exactly, as Legacy want to announce these officially themselves, but I can be vague. So with that in mind don't expect to pay more than £100 for the Hydra and the Golem will be cheaper than this. What I can say are the prices will be less than Rackham used to charge for resin. This is great news I think.

With this in mind and this is MY speculation, the Titan dragon should see a re release and be around the same sort of price as the Hydra.

Hydra AND Titan dragon!

Ebay prices on that Dragon were extortionate

Just to clarify...

These will be released in Limited Numbers at GenCon...

then afterwards on the CoolMini site...

meaning, the rest of the world gets to pick through what remains?

I certainly hope these go on sale on the site at the same time so that we all get a shot at them...

Hey if it goes well for I'm sure they will see the possible money and go for it. My guess is this is a test run to see the response. I also hope it is too :D Cause there is a market for the Rackham goodies, some of you on here have vast collections and the response to the CMON news has been nothing but raving fans wanting more. I came into miniature painting too late to be able to grab any Rackham stuff bar ebay or recasters. But they have a style all their own that stands out from the rest of the market. I would be stunned if they didn't jump for the money and re-release the whole catalog, just a little bit at a time, a figure or two a month.
