Yeah, I could use one or two-dozen right now  Good to hear you are getting offers!

Evenin'all :)
So it's been 6 months and I've finally been offered a new job, which I've gladly accepted! :D
As of Monday next week I'm the Maintenance Manager at the Hotel Como in South Yarra.
I think I've applied for about 50 jobs in the last few months and most don't even bother getting back to you  which is rather annoying, but I can understand why. Anyway it's onwards and upwards and we'll see what the next few months bring, you never know, I might like this job :!:

Yay Tony!

Congratulations. That's great news. Now you'll be able to rebuild your lead/plastic mountain. :)

Congratulations Tony! I went through the same thing earlier in the year and it's such a relief to finally have some income security!

Thanks very much for all the kind words, very much appreciated. :D
The last 6 months haven't been that bad really, yes it's stretched our finances somewhat, but I can honestly say I've really enjoyed the extra time with family.

Congrats on the new job Tony!

I have had people in my family that lose their job, and it is a stressful time. And more often then not, it is not the actual finances issue, but rather having to go for interview after interview without knowing how you went or when you will finally get a new job. Well at least it was in my family's case...

But, good luck in your new position!

Thanks Kyle.
Agreed, the whole interview process is a bit stressful, but I think you become a bit de-sensitised to it after a while........well I did anyway.
One other thing I found out in the last few months which is a little unsavoury....having to deal with Centrelink!! :x

Congrats Tony! It's always a real sideswipe when you lose a job suddenly, cos it's someone messin' with your life and plans (and it aint you!)

I copped a redundancy last year which shook me around a bit (particularly as I was just getting ready to apply for finance for a new apartment), so I'm glad to hear you've got a new role lined up. Great to hear too that you were able to find a good positive out of the job hunting period (more family time!)
