In store on the day, they did mention something about this. I don't think it is a new rule. I have a feeling that the way it was sorted at a store level was so that they could control how many 2 foot boards turned up on the day. One from every store is going to take up a decent amount of room. Adding wildcards give people a chance to try again, but helps them limit it a bit.

I think the incentive for entering an army and getting it at store level was the medal and, at least at Parramatta, they were including a free games day ticket.

The Facebook pages have scans of the programmes up. They have about 4 hours to judge the demons, and between gd announcements and the sword winner, it looks like other events are announced. Also, there is a games design seminar that looks ok, and a miniature design seminar with the Perry's!

I think this is the one Nick is referring to:

I am interested to see how big the exhibition space is... because the Goldeb Demon area looks tiny on the map.

That's them. I was posting from my phone earlier, so couldn't post a link properly. Meant to mention it and forgot.

That area doesn't look too big, but it didn't in the videos from the UK either. Also, think of how much room is needed at the city store. Their four cabinets usually suffice for all but the open. If they could put them back to back it would save more room.

Argh being sick poses a serious threat to my open entry! Been down with an incredibad flu for the last few days, and am only just continuing work on the model. I think I will just get it done in time, but the base will leave something to be desired, believe me haha

This is the first time I havent been rushing to finish my open entry, its been done for months... it feels pretty good! But i do miss that tension and build up the night before. I guess its two sides of the coin...

Anyways I doubt I will have any chance with my entry now that Mr. IP, Allan Merret is judging.... There is no way they will let a Duel between Sam and Shelob made of fantasy minis win... :P

Not too long now till GD!

Just packing now, flight at 6.30am... Open done, and 4 categories for finals, this is definately my best year yet.

I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone and another year of Camels shenanigans!

Dances are an important ingredient in painting for GD.

I'll accept that.

Honestly, I really don't like the whole screaming out "waaagh" and "for the Emperor"... I've always thought it's kind of strange.
