OK, I figured I should just update the first page with any new events that are planned so it is a bit easier to reference than searching in the thread for the last mention of something, and I'll just put a note in for events as they get added:

There should be a meetup on the 31st at hall of heroes from what I can tell from my calendar. Having said that, I realised that there has been a long time since we had a meet up in the city. Anyone interested in doing one of these at some point in April or something like that? Granted, Tin's is gone, so there is one less place to visit, but there must be other stores in the city we can stagger to, convincing each other we paint miniatures, while not actually painting anything.

If there is a meet up then it really should be focused on painting. Walking to stores looking at minis and materials is not going to be good for my bank ballance.

Yeah I think mark nailed that one painting is the better option we all have masses of minis

I'll point out that I'm happy to do painting at any meetup however I know in the past it has been difficult to find a place to paint in the city, and also all the previous city meetups I have been to have turned into a show and tell with no painting, even though we intended to when arranging it.

A show and tell is still ok for feedback and things like that. At the moment im working on a few GD projects and that OSL jump trooper thingy that are taking all my spare time. SO i cont really commit to much at this time. Would be good to catch up and get some ideas though.

Well if you do city. Then I could probably come. I couldn't really set aside that much time to paint anyways, so only a small catch up for like an hour or 2 is preferable to me. And thats mainly why I never come to the Hall of Heroes meet up. A hour to travel there each way is not very dersirable for me. Sorry! But thats probably what others would have to do traveling to the city, so I feel your pain...

So, if you organise something I will try and come. But just depends on what I have on and where it is.

Yea a painting meetup would be great! I think painting includes show and tell as well are all probably working on GD projects and the feedback is very helpful.

I am ok to travel a bit to get to wherever it is (an hour is nothing Kyle ) and am up for an all day thang.

Ill have to travel over an hour where ever its held so unless there is a good commitment and time frame its not worth coming for me. But I do like to see the other painters and talk about painting ideas and techniques and the such.

I cant make it. I really need to focus on my GD work right now, and HoH is not good for that type of work. Also im in the area on the 12th May, so I'm meeting a few ppl there then.

As a painting meetup at HoH, or just a general meeting? Just thinking if it is easier for people to meet up that day, I'm willing to make another trip down there.

Also, Matt mentioned last month that he had plans for a painting comp at the end of May. He's got details on his site, but no categories yet. I keep forgetting to put a post up. They should be the standard categories (single mini, unit etc). I'll try and ask this weekend if he has further details in case people want to throw in odd things.

well I'm going to take paints as its a missed oportunity to not do some hobby. One of my mates wanted me to teach him some tricks while I'm there. I don't think I'll be there all day though.

Yeah can't be their this weekend but I'm popping in on the 12th for some painting yes I am going to paint and bring my gd projects for advice any help I can get from mark is a good thing

Is there going to be a meet-up at HoH this Sat (5 May)? I'm temporarily back in Oz.
