Depicting the popular country pursuit of hunting with a greyhound and the thrill of the chase. As the greyhound hunts by sight and not smell, so, with some humour, the hare hides beneath so as not to be seen.
Badge making did not only serve a religious market. It occupied a position in all aspects of life as for example, political and military to show allegiance, celebrate amorous intent, and indicate sporting interests, often with a satirical flavour.
