Dress accessory: Chapes, small

  • Time period: to 15th Century
  • Materials: Copper alloy
  • Product Dimensions: 40 mm long, 2 mm diameter opening.
  • Further details:

    Conical copper alloy "chapes" which cover the feasings on points for ease in threading through eyelets. "Feasings" are the frayed ends of point cord. Suitable for clothing points or arming points.

    The chapes can be glued on, or drilled and riveted.
