Staff Comments:

This is Gerry Embleton of the "Company of Saynt George" fame at his second best. If you can get yourself a copy of the long out of print "The Medieval Soldier" then you have Embleton at his best. If you can't then this title will more than do the trick. Check out their web site at http://www.companie-of-st-george.ch and see how it can be done, honestly you won't be disappointed! As a costuming guide, the only point to note is that there is only a very small amount on womans' clothing and less for children. While the men's clothing is excellent, the interpretation for some of the womens' has a little way to catch up.

Period: 1300 - 1400 AD, 1400 - 1500 AD
