Poleaxed 2: Wargame system for late medieval warfare

Author:

Lanchester D, McGill P.

Summary:

The The poleaxed wargames system is deigned to represent, as far as possible the type of warfare that was waged in Western Europe during the 15th Century.

The prime aim of the system has been to wargame large battles, to get a clear cut result, and to bring out the glavour of the period. To do this, the rule mechansim haave been made as simple as possible. Morale checks and book-keeping are kept to a minimum. The need to remove figures has been eliminated and all movement can be carried out by contingents on movement trays.

Include army lists here and in Poleaxed source book Vol 1 and 2 (cf Armies, battles and commanders of the War of the Roses, listed in Militaria).

This new edition may seem a tad old fashioned but with this update the authors did not want to follow the De Bellis trend (Terrific rules though they are), but keep within the spirit of the original concept.
